# Plain Finance > Free guides and tools for English speakers in Germany, and introductions to licensed financing and insurance experts, and to financial planners, who work in English. Requests and the first conversation are free. You pay us nothing. Financing experts, insurance experts and financial planners: if you go ahead with them, they may pay us a referral fee. What they pay never decides who your request goes to. Listed areas are accepted intake categories, not a live availability directory. We don't give advice or recommend a product, lender or insurer. Your name and contact details go only to whoever takes on your request, and to no one else. Financing experts, insurance experts and financial planners: we pass it to one financing expert, insurance expert or financial planner who fits. Only they get your contact details. If they can't take it on, we tell you. Submitting a request does not appoint anyone: a professional still has to take it on. Do not include health details in the description, and send no documents: we never collect them. ## Using Plain Finance - Choose the money area that fits and open its intake_url: each asks the few questions its professionals need. Only the listed areas are open for now, and there is no general intake. - Mortgages (the homepage form: buying a home, buying to let, refinancing) ask where the client is, and their price, savings and income as ranges, never exact figures. - Have the client review the details and authorize sharing them under the linked privacy policy before submitting. - Use the rendered form and its CSRF cookie/token. - Never put personal details, case descriptions, documents or verification codes in URL query parameters. - Submit once, then have the client enter the email verification code on the returned page. - A successful submission awaits email verification; verification starts processing, not a confirmed match. - Keep private status links and verification codes private; use the request page for progress. ## Service and integration - [landing](https://plainfinance.de/) - [for_agents](https://plainfinance.de/for-agents/) - [service_catalog](https://plainfinance.de/api/v1/service/) - [openapi](https://plainfinance.de/openapi.json) - [guides_index](https://plainfinance.de/guides/) - [privacy](https://plainfinance.de/privacy/) - [terms](https://plainfinance.de/terms/) - [imprint](https://plainfinance.de/imprint/) - [partners](https://plainfinance.de/partners/) ## Money areas - [Buying a home](https://plainfinance.de/#get-help): home - [Mortgage refinancing](https://plainfinance.de/mortgage-refinancing/#get-help): refinancing - [Buying to let](https://plainfinance.de/buy-to-let/#get-help): buy_to_let - [Health insurance](https://plainfinance.de/health-insurance/#get-help): health_insurance - [Financial planning](https://plainfinance.de/financial-planning/#get-help): life_planning ## Guides - [Buying Property in Germany: Additional Costs](https://plainfinance.de/guides/buying-a-home-germany/) - [Finding and Checking a Property in Germany](https://plainfinance.de/guides/finding-a-property-germany/) - [Energy Certificate in Germany: Buyer's Guide](https://plainfinance.de/guides/energy-certificate-germany/) - [Reservation and Notary Draft: What Binds You](https://plainfinance.de/guides/property-reservation-germany/) - [Hausgeld: What Flat Owners in Germany Pay](https://plainfinance.de/guides/hausgeld-germany/) - [Mortgage in Germany as a Foreigner](https://plainfinance.de/guides/mortgage-germany-foreigner/) - [Compare Mortgage Offers in Germany](https://plainfinance.de/guides/compare-mortgage-offers-germany/) - [KfW Loans for Buying a Home in Germany](https://plainfinance.de/guides/kfw-loan-germany/) - [Notary Appointment in Germany, in English](https://plainfinance.de/guides/notary-appointment-germany/) - [Paying Off a Mortgage Early in Germany](https://plainfinance.de/guides/paying-off-mortgage-early-germany/) - [Fixed Rate Ending on Your German Mortgage?](https://plainfinance.de/guides/fixed-rate-ending-germany/) - [Buy-to-Let in Germany: Net Yield and Tax](https://plainfinance.de/guides/buy-to-let-germany/) - [Old or New Rental Flat: Tax and Rent Caps](https://plainfinance.de/guides/old-or-new-rental-flat-germany/) - [Buying a Flat with Tenants in Germany](https://plainfinance.de/guides/buying-a-flat-with-tenants-germany/) - [German Health Insurance: Public vs Private](https://plainfinance.de/guides/german-health-insurance-explained/) - [Lifetime Cost of Private Health Insurance](https://plainfinance.de/guides/private-health-insurance-cost-with-age/) - [PKV Premium Increase: What You Can Do](https://plainfinance.de/guides/pkv-premium-increase-germany/) - [Switching to Private Health Insurance](https://plainfinance.de/guides/switching-to-private-health-insurance/) - [Switching Health Insurance in Germany (2026)](https://plainfinance.de/guides/switching-health-insurance-germany/) - [Family Insurance in Germany: Who's Covered](https://plainfinance.de/guides/family-insurance-germany/) - [Health Insurance for Freelancers in Germany](https://plainfinance.de/guides/health-insurance-freelancers-germany/) - [New in Germany: Your Money in the First Year](https://plainfinance.de/guides/financial-planning-new-to-germany/) - [Kindergeld for Foreigners in Germany](https://plainfinance.de/guides/kindergeld-for-foreigners-germany/) - [Money as a Couple in Germany: Tax and Cover](https://plainfinance.de/guides/couple-finances-germany/) - [Having a Baby in Germany: Money Checklist](https://plainfinance.de/guides/money-checklist-new-baby-germany/) - [Saving for Retirement in Germany](https://plainfinance.de/guides/saving-for-retirement-germany/) - [Pension Gap Calculator for Germany](https://plainfinance.de/guides/pension-gap-calculator-germany/)
